Studies

Antonio Manco graduated in Communication Sciences with a thesis on the theories of the technical language of cinema applied to social communication in 2004 at the University of Perugia.

Antonio Manco’s cinematic journey was shaped by intensive training at the Ipotesi Cinema school under Ermanno Olmi’s guidance.

He expanded his horizons studying with legends like Fernando Pino Solanas, mastering the art of filmmaking on a budget.

Screenwriting became his strong through mentorship from Anna Pavignano, solidifying his storytelling prowess.

His path also took him to the Observatorio del Cine in Barcelona and Buenos Aires, and the “Quince” Film School in Barcelona, where he also shared his knowledge by teaching other young aspiring filmmakers.

Among Antonio Manco’s best known works are the documentary “Ni un pibe menos,” shot in Buenos Aires and distributed by the National Institute of Argentine Cinema INCAA in more than 50 theaters in Argentina.

This film, shot during three years in the “Villas” of Buenos Aires, laid the foundation for a career dedicated to social cinema and to telling authentic and engaging stories. The film stood out for defending human rights denied in the villas miserias of Argentina and Latin America more generally.
